Why?

Please give [alumni-chat] it's own forum.

The Antioch forum was doing just fine without all the noise from that... list.

Thank you for your consideration.

When I respond to a post in "Antioch" it starts a new thread.

I don't think it is working the way you expected.

please see my responses back at your first post response at http://antiochians.org/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=24992

But this is the better forum in which to discuss this...

It shouldn't start a new thread every time... it happens sometimes, but that's if it comes from the mailing list and the bridge does not recognize it as part of an existing topic.  That's what moderators are for -- to manually combine topics or move posts when necessary.

At the moment we have several (I'd venture too many) general discussion forums.. there's C-shop which should be general discussion about anything at all, there's Antioch which is miscellaneous discussion about Antioch, Alumni-chat would also be miscellaneous discussion about Antioch, SaveAntioch would be miscellaneous discussion about saving Antioch (which is essentially already broken out into distinct groups: finance/fundraising, governance, communications, vision etc.).

But, best of all, I can decide which.
