Also, had a friend not called me and asked why I wasn't using forums, I would have no idea that the forums consisted of topics other than "C-Shop," and I probably would have never registered an account here.

Has anyone announced that there are additional invisible forums to the folks on the Antioch alumni listserv?

I think it's the well known nature of forum software that lurkers miss out on the good stuff.

However, since you asked nicely, I added a little informative message for lurkers.

Erik,

Thank you for adding the message 'most things are only visible to logged in members'.

Please remember that in reaching the 17k + alumni, or at least several thousand of them through this forum, many of them have no idea how how to use forums, or of the goodies embedded in forum software that are lost out to lurkers. Indeed, I am internet literate, and a graduate from the 90s, but like I said I had no idea there were threads more interesting than "C-Shop." Many of the alumni will have to be enticed away from using the alumni listserv. BTW, do you have any idea how many subscribers there are on the alumni listserv?

Perhaps you can edit the message to something along the lines of "there are threads such as legal/governance and visions that are only accessible to logged in members."

Thanks, Erik.
