Are there plans for integrating some kind of live chat thing into this site?  Probably it's a complicated thing, but could be quite useful.

We experimented with a few options but nothing was decent quality.  We're going to be changing the 'engine' that runs the site soon and once that happens we'll see what is available with that system. For now people seem to use AIM mostly, with some folks over on gTalk. I'm mattbaya in both places, drop me a line

It's not that hard to set up an ircd (chat server) with a decent set of services, tho' I recommend you stay away from Undernet or Effnet (no "NickServ").
