Questions about Dates/Times

the time-stamping of posts seems to be several hours off.  yet everything seemed fine to me in the settings, anybody have an idea?

After some sleuthing, Erik and i discovered that the forum times are off because of a shift in paradigm with the new software (typical antioch!).  In each member's profile, under "Look and Layout Preferences" in the sidebar, the time offset relative to the server is shown in a field.  The old system was set to greenwich mean time and the current server is on the east coast. 

To fix your timestamping, simply click the "auto detect" link next to that field or figure out how many hours you are positive or negative from the server time displayed below the field and enter that number.

wish there were a magic bullet, but this odd hassle is the price of progress, it seems.
