I am trying to adjust to the changes....but the font is really too small.  I thought someone mentioned this yesterday and it was being addressed.  Thanks.

the font size was indeed increased overall. you may need to shift+reload your browser to see the new font size (hold down the shift key on your keyboard and click the browser's reload button).

if it still too small for you... is there a particular section that is too small for you, or is just "everything" too small for you?

also, there are multiple themes that you can choose under your Profile tab -> look and layout preferences. try to find you that you think best for you. more will be added.

Thanks for the new build.  I haven't read the entire thread here or seen it elsewhere, but if already mentioned, I will second the emotion that things seem harder to distinguish now.

I find the new format makes it harder to distinguish one post from the next, and to distinguish quotes within a post from the post body.  At least the old "orange" format gave us some clearer definition.

howdy.

is it a matter of contrast you're talking about (distinguishing quotes) or something else? when the quote function is used the quote text is smaller, it's indented, and it's in a different colored box.

you might also want to check out some of the other available themes by clicking on you Profile tab, then going to Look and Layout Preferences, then you'll see "Current Theme: Outline (change)" and can click "change" to view the other ones.

Hi Erik,

Yes, it is a matter of contrast.  The quoted text does not seem significantly smaller, and the 'different color box' is just an ever-so-slightly darker shade of grey.  And this isn't the primary concern.

The primary concern is that posts don't have a quickly distinguishable demarcation.  I've found myself having to backtrack a few times to see who's writing what.  Granted, this is less of an issue lately being that the Forums seem to have fallen nearly silent.

thank you for the explanations and feedback. when i get some more time i'll continue to make adjustments to the theme and hopefully will be able to address these points you brought up.

much appreciated,
-e

edited to say: i made slight changes in the background colors between alternating posts. hopefully this helps. you might need to do a shift+reload (hold down your shift key and click the reload button) to see the new changes.

Hmmm.  Tried shift+reload.  Emptied my cache.  Rebooted.  All seems the same.  Maybe it's because I use Firefox.

hrm. i'm using firefox too... i just made the colors more different and added borders to distinguish elements. if after emptying your cache you're still not seeing a noticeable difference, maybe your monitor's brightness settings are extremely high?

hope it helps.

either way, i'll continue to make style adjustments and of course work on other themes which may be more to your liking.

thanks
